Hi, my name is Michelle and I just joined this group. I’m 30 years old, married with no children. My mom, 53, was in a car accident last April and suffered a traumatic brain injury and a stroke. She was in a coma for 2 weeks and in rehab for 5 months. Since last April, I have only spent 10 days away from my mom. I became her caregiver the day of the accident and when she was released from rehab, she moved in with me and my husband. It’s been a long road and I’m just here looking for a place to vent and talk with others in similar situations.
My name is Melinda Roberts I have been a care taker my entire, my Mother was a caretaker, and her mother was a caretaker. So when my husband's mother became sick I became her caretaker now for 12 years and have had to learn a lot about health care i have actually been able to get home health aide degree from home and I have been looking for a company that will pay a family member who cares for a loved one who has all the qualities and qualifications that most health aides and CNA's have. I could use some help if anyone knows of na company that a allow this i would greatly appreciate a hand with any help available.
