My friend's grandmother has Alzheimer's and she and her other cousins and members of the family has been taking turns in taking care of her in her home. Because of their busy lives, they decided to hire a caregiver to take care of her on specific shifts and during the night to watch over her. The problem is that her grandmother becomes violent when she wakes up suddenly or just snaps when she remembers that her family's not taking care of her. One time, she got a knife and told her caregiver she would kill her when she was sleeping. The caregiver was so afraid and never came back. In short, no one else would take care of her. What do we do?
