Hi there.  I am writing to connect with others in this new climate of guarded isolation that covid has caused.  I care for my son who has TBI and quadreplegia.  I take him out less now and was wondering how others feel about socializing with folks who are at greater risk like my son.

Thank you

Hi, Patricia. My name is

Hi, Patricia. My name is Nichole and I am one of the staff here at Caregiver Action Network. Welcome to the online community and thank you sharing a bit about your son.

Isolation has been a real issue for folks that are considered high risk. I am considered high risk and can certainly relate. It can also be really difficult to even know whta the current guidance is around things like masks as everything with the pandemic contimued to change and evolve.

A place to start might be reaching out to the Caregiver Help Desk, They can help you figure out current guidance and some options to keep your son connected to friends and peers while being safe. You can connect with them via phone (855-227-3640) or chat (the orange "Help Desk" button on the bottom right of our website). The hours of the Help Desk are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 7PM Eastern. If you reach out after hours, you'll be prompted to leave a voicemail (or, if reaching out by chat, your message will be sent as an email).

Hope this might be of some help, and always feel free to reach out if I can be of any additional assistance.
