Hi everyone, I hope this post finds you happy, healthy, and staying positive in your caregiving journeys. As of September 5th 2014 my caregiving journey ended. My grandfather passed on that date from a sudden hemorrhage. Before caring for him, I cared for my grandmother who was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. I'm only 26 now, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me to try to start a life for myself and balance caring for them in the ways they needed. I remember feeling so alone and resentful because none of my friends could begin to relate. Out of this experience, I felt called to support other young adult caregivers in their journey, as we sometimes feel like a hidden or forgotten group.
