Hi, my name is Mindy. I am 48 and caregiver to my 82 year old mom since my dad died on January 16.
It has been very difficult. Mom is mad at me today because I suggested she use our city's transportation program, which I got her approved for, to take her to City Hall rather than have me drive her there. Now I am being a spoiled brat and if the situation was reversed she would help me. When all I want is a reprieve from constantly driving her everywhere and spending all of my time helping her.
How those of you who have done this for months or years on end can cope is beyond me!
