Hi, just thought I'd say hi.
I am the care support for Dad, who is 79 and lives in a skilled care community (I don't like the word facility). He has normal pressure hydrocephalus and dementia, as well as something much like Parkinson's Disease. He is wheelchair bound and stiff. He can still move, but it's difficult for him.
He has (or had) resources to pay for his care, but he is running out of money. Medicaid is looming. I'm not happy about that. His own savings and his long term care insurance have paid out a small fortune over the last 5 years for care he has needed. It's a shame.
