WASHINGTON, DC — This November, the Caregiver Action Network (CAN) is leading the national observance of National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) with the theme “Plug-in to Care.” With the outstanding support of more than 80 nonprofit partners and 18 corporate sponsors (listed on NFCmonth.org), this campaign focuses on making it easier than ever for caregivers to connect with trusted resources, supportive communities, and practical tools to help them navigate every stage of their caregiving journey.

“Caregivers often ask, ‘Where do I start?’ or ‘Who can I trust?’,” said Marvell Adams Jr., President and CEO of Caregiver Action Network. “With Plug-in to Care, we’re answering those questions by helping caregivers access vetted, reliable resources—and empowering them to feel connected, capable, and confident.”

Meeting Caregivers Where They Are

Caregivers can explore NFCmonth.org for tailored, user-friendly support that meets them online, at home, or at work. This centralized hub delivers trusted resources and direct access to CAN’s National Caregiver Help Desk—which offers free, year-round, one-on-one support from real caregiving experts and advocates.

A First-of-Its-Kind Collaboration

Over 80 nonprofit partners (and counting) are joining forces through Plug-in to Care—creating a nationwide network of organizations dedicated to offering reliable, accessible caregiver resources in one trusted location. The collaboration unites the country’s leading caregiver advocates, health organizations, and community networks under a single mission: to simplify the caregiving journey for millions of families.

Interactive Learning for Every Caregiver

Throughout November, CAN will host a national webinar series designed to empower caregivers with practical strategies and expert advice. Topics include:

  • Plug-in to Care: Finding Your Way Through Resources
  • Plug-in to Care: Building Caregiver-Friendly Workplaces
  • Plug-in to Care: Finding Strength in Community
  • Plug-in to Care: Caring for Parents, Kids, and Yourself
  • Plug-in to Care: Turning Caregiver Experience into Action

Each session will feature real caregivers, workplace leaders, and health experts discussing actionable ways to support America’s caregiving community.

Beyond November: Building a Culture That Cares

“Plug-in to Care” extends beyond November, representing CAN’s year-round commitment to helping caregivers move from overwhelmed and isolated to informed and empowered. The campaign builds on CAN’s decades-long mission to ensure that no caregiver ever feels alone.

“Balancing caregiving with work, family, and personal obligations leaves little time for research,” Adams said. “We’re reducing that burden—bringing the answers, resources, and community caregivers need right to their fingertips.”
