Peer Connections and Support

Caring for a loved one with leukemia can be isolating, overwhelming, and emotionally draining.

That’s why connecting with other caregivers matters so much.

Peer support provides a safe space to share the ups and downs with people who truly understand. It’s a place to learn practical tips, exchange encouragement, and be reminded that you don’t have to carry the weight alone.

These connections can ease isolation, strengthen resilience, and remind caregivers to care for themselves, too—because support for you means better care for your loved one.

Leukemia Caregiver Real Time Support

Kindly Human is a free, on-demand caregiver resource that connects you to trained peer listeners who understand what you are going through. Connecting with someone who “gets it” can help you feel heard, understood, and less alone.

Leukemia Caregiver Support Groups

In-person support groups are often offered at hospitals, cancer centers, or community organizations, providing a great opportunity to share experiences, coping strategies, and offer encouragement. Online support groups offer the added bonus of flexibility when leaving home is difficult.

Leukemia Caregiver Online Communities

Condition-specific spaces such as Blood Cancer United (formerly known as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) and the Leukemia Research Foundation can provide you with practical advice and emotional validation.
