John Schall:

Despite the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease in our society, accepting the diagnosis of a loved one is often difficult. Once your loved one receives the diagnosis, the road ahead can be hard to navigate, and it can be a challenging or scary realization as you step into the role of caregiver, and life changes.

When you’re a family caregiver, it’s important to remember you are not alone. There are millions of other people just like you, coming to terms with a loved one’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. In this series of videos, you’ll hear from caregivers throughout the country talking about the signs and symptoms that led up to the diagnosis. Learn how their lives changed upon hearing the diagnosis, and hear tips these caregivers have for others facing the same news.
