John Schall:Despite the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease in our society, accepting the diagnosis of a loved one is often difficult. Once your loved one receives the diagnosis, the road ahead can be hard to navigate, and it can be a challenging or scary realization as you step into the role of caregiver, and life changes.
When you’re a family caregiver, it’s important to remember you are not alone. There are millions of other people just like you, coming to terms with a loved one’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. In this series of videos, you’ll hear from caregivers throughout the country talking about the signs and symptoms that led up to the diagnosis.
